Sharing knowledge within and outside the
organization
Since DesignMaps are server-based, both they and
any part of them can be shared across the Internet
with internal and external project-team members. You
only expose the parts of the design that you want
the other members to see; each member sees only what
you permit them to. But at the same time, the
visible part of the DesignMap is still connected to
the invisible parts. So any proposed changes are
always being evaluated by the entire model.
If a contractor who only sees part of a DesignMap
introduces an inconsistency, or violates a
requirement, KollabNet will alert both you and them.
