Lancaster, PA – February 15, 2005 – KollabNet, Inc., a supplier of
enterprise-level knowledge- and requirements-capture systems, is pleased to
announce that Tilman Schad has accepted its invitation to join the KollabNet
board of directors. Dr. Schad, who currently manages his own technology and
business strategy consultancy, was president and CEO of CoCreate Software, an
$80 million engineering automation and data management company spun out of
Hewlett Packard in 1996; prior to that, he was a senior executive with HP.
“Tilman is an unusual combination – a mature software business executive,
with the wisdom and maturity that come from experience, and a hands-on engineer,
who really understands the heart of the user”, said Dr. Joel Orr, KollabNet’s VP
of Business Development. “His knowledge of how to grow large organizations,
robustly, from small ones, will benefit us greatly. We are very happy to welcome
him to our board!”
Dr. Schad served HP as general manager of the Software Business Unit where he
was instrumental in building the HP Openview business into a market leader in
network and systems management. Prior to this, he was general manager of the
Mechanical Design Division and Work Management Operation in Germany. Tilman has
a PhD in electronic engineering from the Technische Universitaet Stuttgart,
Germany.
